A Message from President Perry Fuchs
Dear Sisters and Brothers of the Plainedge Federation of Teachers,
As we enter the holiday season, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for the dedication, compassion, and professionalism you bring to our schools every day. Your commitment to our students, families, and community is to be admired and what makes Plainedge an amazing place to call home.
During this time of giving, I encourage you to remember the power we have as union members and consumers. Choosing union-made products when shopping this holiday season helps support good jobs, fair wages, safe working conditions, and the dignity of work. These are all values that align closely with everything we stand for as educators and PFT members. Please see the list of union made products below and do everything in your power to purchase items made by unionized workers during this holiday season. Every purchase is a chance to stand in solidarity with working families, just as we do throughout the year in our classrooms and workplaces.
As we enter 2026, let's carry the spirit of unity and solidarity with us in everything we do. Together, we will continue to advocate for quality education, fair compensation, and safe working environments for all. Our dedication and commitment to our students and the Plainedge community are truly inspiring, and I am proud of the amazing work our members do every day.
On behalf of our entire PFT leadership team, I want to wish all our members and their loved ones a very happy and healthy holiday season. May you find joy in the company of family and friends, and may the New Year bring renewed hope and opportunity for us all.
